| jeff 6/18/2023 11:54:05 AM | When HDW doesn't put up a chart file there's almost always a good reason. No better example than yesterday's (Sat 06-17-2023) chart file for Delaware Park. In R5 the original data transmitted by Equibase out to data resellers Brisnet, DRF, HDW, TrackMaster, etc. had Kevin Gomez named as riding two horses in the same race: Blame Catalaya and Three Coins. HDW's error checking caught this and put the chart in a "needs work" bin. From there: 1. HDW notified Equibase who in turn notified the track. 2. The track corrected the data at their end. 3. Equibase picked up the correction and transmitted it on to their data resellers. 4. Shortly thereafter HDW made the DEL0617F.zip file available for download on their server. I'm almost always cc'd on the email exchanges between HDW and Equibase when errant chart data is involved. No matter what the error happens to be, this same exact process plays out a handful of times each and every week. If HDW doesn't put up a chart file: There's almost always a good reason. -jp .
