i. There is no Dead Heat Indicator in the HDW F.TXT Chart Results File.
ii. However, there ARE Dead Heat Indicators for past running lines in the comma delimited text .JCP File:

Fields 486-495 Third Place Margin=0 if DH
There are also Dead Heat Indicators for past running lines in the EICA.csv File:

Also, the Data Transformations Tool in the JCX File Exports Module programmatically identifies Dead Heats and removes them from .CSV File Exports when the "Skip Races with Dead Heats and Wins by Coupled Entries box is checked when your export is run.

"ODDS" column in the StarterHistory and/or StarterHistory2025 Tables inside of the JCapper2.mdb file.
Race Non Betting or No Contest Indicator - As general rule when a race is cancelled or declared a no contest, that race is excluded from the HDW F.TXT Chart Results File.
HDW does not generate F.TXT Chart Result Files for cancelled cards (wearther, equipment malfunction, jockeys refuse to ride, etc.)

- Official chart revision flags (post-corrections)
Yes. Historically about 55% of all race cards undergo one or more chart corrections.
From what I can see Equibase isn't proactive.
Basically Equibase relies on crowd sourcing and is using the public to scrub their data.
On the plus side Equibase is really good about effecting chart corrections in a timely manner as they are received.
As a result, a high percentage of the important or significant chart corrections take place during the first few days after a race has been run.
With the less significant chart corrections trickling in during the days and weeks that follow.
