I watched Quality Road being saddled. Not sure if he behaves this way every time or not - but he appeared to spend a fair amt of nervous energy trying to shake off his bridle... or maybe he just doesn't like the bit they are using.
At 3 mtp there is 98k out of 123k in the show pool riding on him.
I'll take a shot against with show wagers on others... 5,4,8,3
  Good luck.

jeff 5/31/2010 6:15:34 PM | Well THAT certainly worked out well....
He used up so much nervous energy that he ran the 3rd fastest Met Mile ever. < G >

STUBALL 6/1/2010 8:59:32 AM | LOL He might have run the fastest ever if he had not wasted so much energy before the race...just proves you can't be right all the time..maybe the next 9 that act like that will lose...I did not bet the race - just watched...

ryesteve 6/1/2010 10:42:02 AM | Isn't Quality Road the horse that had a major freakout at the Breeders' Cup? Sounds like temperament isn't one of his assets.

jeff 6/1/2010 12:15:07 PM | That's him. I was told that the reason he absolutely lost it just before the Breeders Cup Classic was a helicopter above the starting gate.

Charli125 6/1/2010 4:07:32 PM | The helicopter was very loud that day, and I believe it did have a negative impact on QR. Unfortunate for me because almost all of my bets included him on top in the BC, so I ended up with no real plays.
