2010 Preakness |
jeff 5/15/2010 6:15:54 PM | At 8 mtp after seeing the odds and the horses on the track I am passing the race.
A glance at the numbers on my html report draws the eye to #8 Super Saver... who looks good (and is on his toes) as they parade... but (my opinion) the 2-1 price doesn't offer anything in the way of compelling value.
So I'll just watch and enjoy the race.
Good luck to all.

STUBALL 5/16/2010 8:52:29 AM | I heard just before post time that Super Saver had lost weight...I wish there was a way to know the horses weight before the race as it is a great indicator of how the horse runs today...a wish I know will never come to pass in the US. Hong Kong races supply that info as a regular part of their info..I have never been able to visual handicap pre race except for rare instances...anybody have any jewels to add about this.

pdavid6 5/16/2010 11:34:49 PM | I have to say I heard the same thing about the weight and is the only reason I didn't change my mind right before the post time to Super Saver who caught my eye with his on the toes look. I swear I had to tell myself, "this one time I'm going to sit tight on my first selection in Looking at Lucky". I probably should have passed on the race knowing the odds, but it's the Preakness. I couldn't pass on that. It was a day of plenty of chaulk winners to say the least...
