jeff 10/5/2009 5:07:07 PM | Would somebody... a TSN user... be so kind as to attach a copy of the .pcs file to an email and send it my way?

jeff 10/5/2009 9:48:42 PM | Files received. Thanks.
The error is being thrown in R8 when the program comes to the horse named Closing Vision. The .PCS file has partial info for the 10th work back, including "00000000" as the date.
En route to BasicFitness, an algorithm in the program tries to evaluate the number of days/spacing in the horse's work pattern. The algorithm is expecting - at a minimum - that all values in the file contained in date fields actually be dates.
When the program tries to calc the number of days from one work to the next it encounters the bad date and throws an error.
The BRIS file for the same horse has no data in any of the fields for the 10th work back.
I manually deleted the bad date and accompanying 660 yd distance for the 10th work back from the .PCS file and ran a calc races... no errors.
EDIT: Similar problem with the ZIA1005.PCS file... which I've also edited.
TSN hasn't been as willing to correct data errors as BRIS. For that reason, here are download links to the modified .pcs files:
DEL1005s.ZIP
ZIA1005s.ZIP

Your fix worked great.

jeff 10/6/2009 1:13:48 PM | HINT:
If you are a TSN subscriber, replace the bad files from TSN for 10/05/2009 DEL and ZIA with the good files linked to above...
Do this BEFORE running a Build Database.
