jeff 4/13/2009 4:03:43 PM | It looks like I'll arrive in the Lexington area Tues night 4/14/2009 and leave sometime on Mon 4/20/2009.
HANA KEE TRIP My "duties" as HANA president involve commitments such as taking a tour of Equibase, a horse farm or two, and (I'm told) presenting a trophy in the winner's circle to the winning connections after the Lexington Stakes (I think) on Friday the 17th. We'll also be meeting with KEE board members to discuss issues such as availability of track signals, takeout, rebates, pool integrity, and what to do with trainers who cheat. It's my opinion that raising awareness of these issues has given the industry a gentle push in the right direction. As a result we are starting to see positive changes sprinkled throughout the industry. But there's still a long long way to go. I plan to post a full write up after I get back... accomplishments (disapointments too) about this trip as seen from a HANA perspective. Look for it in the off topic area of the JCapper Message Board first.
JCapper Live Seminar I've decided to make this one a very informal event. We can do a formal JCapper live seminar sometime later this year. Vegas anyone?
KEE was kind enough to give us 20 box seats on the finish line for Sat the 18th. If you are in the Lexington area next week call me on my cell phone 8 5 8 - 8 6 9 - 7 2 6 9 and make plans to meet up. I'll show you some new stuff that is absolutley mind blowing (at least to me.)
Don S, who posts as Stuball, is making the trip down from Wisconsin in his motorhome. He graciously offered to put me up for a few days. When he described the RV (it has a washer dryer on board and we should have wireless internet at the RV park) I just HAD to accept his invite.
I hope Don doesn't mind too much if I turn his motorhome into The JCappermobile for a few days. When not at the track or on tour for HANA I'll be making JCapper videos and posting updates about the trip.
