| jeff 4/9/2009 5:06:31 AM | Guys, You guys are about the best group of customers somebody like me could ever hope to have. Please understand this is just me trying to run a business. It's that time again... As you guys know, I pretty much spend every waking moment working on new factor R&D, coding out algorithms, making videos, posting on the message board, and helping new JCapper users get up to speed with the software. All that in addition to whatever time I can find here and there to sneak in some live play... not to mention the time I spend volunteering for HANA... or (lately) helping players get rebates. I should point out that it's all part of the business. I LOVE the work that I do and feel truly blessed to be able to wake up every morning and do what I do. However, JCapper IS a business... even if I'm sometimes lax about running it like one. The license agreement says that new users get free access to me (to the best of my ability) and access to the most current JCapper program updates for the first year of ownership. After the first year is up, access is something that's supposed to be paid for. The last time I asked the JCapper user community to pay a renewal fee was in the spring of 2007... That was more than two years ago. Since that time I'd like to think I've added or created a thing or two in the way of features and improvements to the program. < G > Just off the top of my head, here's a partial list: New Factors: The Compound Pace Array UserFactors 1-5 UPR Sire, Dam, SiresSire, DamsSire Bettors Tote Prob and Expected Value UPR ZScore Prob and Expected Value New Pace Top Route Debut BSwitch Fast Slow Pace Fast Slow Final Data Window enhancements: KEY FACTORS REPORT BY TRACK BY RIDER BY TRAINER BY SIRE BY DAM Track Weight Report Exacta Matrices Data Window Exports: CXN Exports for Riders, Trainers, and Owners Track Profile Exports Quick Index File Create New and Append Track Weight Table Interface IV TABLE WIZARD UPR TOOLS In addition to the above there have been updates to the Help Docs, a new message board from scratch, videos, bug fixes, and more. And as always, there are a lot of new things in the pipeline, including new factors, new program features, and a monthly handicapping video series. So here's the deal: During the first year of program ownership, access to the most current program updates, help docs, and videos is free. Starting May 1, 2009 - I'm going to ask those of you who are beyond your first year of program ownership to pay a program renewal/update fee. This fee is for access to the most current JCapper program versions, help docs, and videos. I need to clarify something. If you don't want access to new program updates, help docs, and new handicapping videos then don't pay the fee. You are free to run whatever program version you have for as long as you want to. But if you decide to go this route, understand that you'll be missing out. If you're at all serious about this game and want to stay on the cutting edge of things then you know what to do. Ok. That's enough of a sales pitch. You're either getting something out of the work I do or you aren't. If you are into your second year of program ownership or beyond, the program renewal/update fee is $25.00 a month. We can do this a number of ways: PayPal I can send out PayPal invoices once a month to those of you who prefer to use PayPal. MC/Visa I can keep customer name, address, and card number on file - and then just bill automatically once a month for those of you who prefer to do things that way. Check or Money Order You can also do it the old fashioned way and mail in a check each month. Make checks or money orders payable to me personally and mail to: Jeff Platt 853 HORNBLEND Street #303 San Diego, CA 92109 25 Percent Discount if you Pay In Advance In March, 2007 (the last time I asked for money) I set the program renewal/upgrade price at $225.00 for an entire year. I'm willing to keep the price the same: $225.00 a year IF you pay in advance. Do the math. 225/300 = .75 Pay in advance and get a 25 percent discount off the monthly price (12 x 25 = 300.) Again, if you pay in advance I'll keep the program renewal/upgrade price the same as it was two years ago: $225.00 a year. Thanks in advance for your understanding.
