HDW's file issues are ongoing.

I'm combining the multiple daily threads into a single monthly thread.

Staying on top of it should be easier this way.

HDW Chart Results File PRM0607F.ZIP

Read Carefully

Link to a good PRM0607F.ZIP Chart Results File:
PRM0607F.ZIP

Right now as I type this the current PRM0607F.ZIP file on the HDW Server is BAD. (It downloads as 2k bytes, and is not a valid .zip archive.,)

I downloaded the above linked to good file early yesterday morning. HDW has since replaced the good file that I downloaded with a BAD file.

Feel free to use the above link.

HDW Data Files for Monday 06-08-2026

Read Carefully

Looking at HDW Data Files for Monday 6/8/2026 that I downloaded yesterday morning Sunday 6/7/2026:

• There were two files for tracks that aren't running today Monday 6/8/2026:

SAR0608J.ZIP
UN0608J.ZIP

Both of these files contain data for last year (same track code, month, and day of month (6/8/2025.)

Looking at the HDW download server right now as I type this, these files were removed after I downloaded them.

You should delete these files if you downloaded them (as I did.)

If you don't have these files: Ignore this post.

It's one I definitely wish I didn't have to make.

• Tracks and J.ZIP files for today's races:

FL0608J.ZIP
LAD0608J.ZIP
MNR0608J.ZIP
PHA0608J.ZIP
PID608J.ZIP
PRM0608J.ZIP
TDN0608J.ZIP

HDW Data Files for Wed 06-10-2026

Yesterday morning I downloaded an LAD0610J.ZIP file.

Delete this file if you have it.

Delete the resulting .JCP file if you built it.

LAD isn't running a card today (Wed 6/10/2026.)

The binary race files inside of this file are from 2025.

Same track code, month, and day of month but wrong year (2025.)

HDW has since removed this file from the download server.

Ugh.

HDW Chart Results File IND0606F.ZIP

Read Carefully

Link to a good IND0606F.ZIP Chart Results File:
IND0606F.ZIP

Right now as I type this the current IND0606F.ZIP file on the HDW Server is BAD. (It downloads as 15k bytes, and is not a valid .zip archive.)

I've notified HDW and they are working on it.

The original file was good.

But yesterday, after Equibase made chart corrections to races 5 and 8, the automated routine HDW uses to make .Zip files (somehow) created an invalid .Zip Archive.

Imo, this is hugely problematic.

Those of you making the effort to pick up chart corrections (something I urge you to do) downloaded a bad file that you can't do anything with.

In this case you end up replacing a good file, one that despite the missing chart corrections - CAN be used to run a DBBuild.

If you want a working file ASAP, feel free to use the above link.

I spent several hours yesterday testing new code in a (yet unpublished) version of the HDW/JCapper File Download Tool.

The changes involve:

1. Integrity checking Zip files during download by Reading the File Header.

2. Discarding Zip files with empty and/or corrupted file headers.

3. Discarding 0 Byte Zip Files.

4. Keeping previously downloaded Zip Files when a Zip File fails Integrity Testing during file download.

During testing I downloaded all files for the month of June 2026 and the following three chart files failed Integrity Testing:

HAW0607F.ZIP
IND0606F.ZIP
PEN0603F.ZIP

FYI, each of the above three chart files underwent chart corrections yesterday.

I notified HDW. They have since cleaned up the HAW0607F.ZIP and PEN0603F.ZIP files. (Both downloaded as 2.0k in file size but had Empty Zip Archives.)

The IND0606F.ZIP downloaded as 15k in file size but the file won't open because the Zip Archive itself is corrupted.

Screenshot:

IND0606F.ZIP

On a positive note, all of the J.ZIP files for the month of June 2026 passed Integrity Testing.

I still have work to do before I can publish the new HDW/JCapper File Download Tool as part of a program update.

But I wanted to make you aware what I am working on:

Delivering an HDW File Download Tool that can detect bad .zip files during the download process, give you a bad file message, and prevent you from replacing good files with bad.

Re: Updated IND0606F.ZIP File

Read carefully.

The IND0606F.ZIP file on the HDW download server is still bad.

However, I asked HDW to send me the IND0606F.TXT and IND0606N.TXT files with chart corrections (corrected WPS payoffs for races 5 and 8) so that I could Zip them up myself and get them to those of you who are *stuck* with a bad .Zip File that will not open.

A few minutes ago Joe at HDW sent me the files. I zipped them up manually and uploaded a new IND0606F.ZIP file to my server.

Link, here:
IND0606F.ZIP

Again, this link gets you the corrected chart file (as opposed to the original.)

Also, once HDW does get the Zip Archive issue for this file straightened out: The file that goes up on the HDW Download Server will be the corrected chart file (as opposed to the original.)

On a Positive Note

A few minutes ago (a little before 9:00 pm eastern) I downloaded every F.Zip Chart File on the HDW server.

For the first time this month:

Every single file (including IND0606F.ZIP) had a Zip Archive that tested clean.

HDW Chart Results File EVD0611F.ZIP

Read Carefully

Right now as I type this (at about 9:50 am eastern) the current EVD0611F.ZIP file on the HDW Server is BAD. (It downloads as 0 bytes, and is not a valid .zip archive.)

Delete this file if you downloaded it.

I notified HDW. (They are aware.)

--Quick Update:

A few minutes after I notified HDW, they copied a good/working EVD0611F.ZIP file onto the download server.

CBY0531F.ZIP and GP0530F.ZIP

Read Carefully

While picking up chart corrections a few minutes ago I ran into two files that failed integrity testing:

CBY0531F.ZIP 8154 Bytes Zip Archive Corrupted or Invalid
GP0530F.ZIP 18258 BYTES Zip Archive Corrupted or Invalid

I notified HDW and asked them to send me the (corrected) F.TXT and N.TXT files.

That would enable me to send them to those of you who are *stuck*after (unknowingly) downloading bad files you can't open while picking up chart corrections.

--Update:

HDW remade both Zip Files and posted them to the download server.

I downloaded both - and they tested clean.

0 Bytes. Not a Valid Archive.

I've notified HDW.

--Update from Joe at HDW on 6/13/2026 at 00:59 am eastern:

"It's fixed."
