Major AWS outage across US-East region breaks half the internet:

Yesterday's internet outage impacted Visual Crossing and JCapper's TrackWeather API.

Looking at TrackWeather Data returned by a copy of the TrackWeather API that was running on the JCapper server this morning:

I can clearly see that the last Current Observation in the Data was just before 10:30 am my time Pacific or 1:30 pm Eastern.

Everything after that was Forecast Data.

Service was restored to Visual Crossing about two hours later.

At that point, had I noticed the TrackWeather API on my server had "hung" - all I had to do was restart the API - and things would have run smoothly from there.

However, I didn't realize or notice the API on the server had hung until early this morning.

That said, when I ran a Resolved Races on yesterday's 10-20-2025 Chart Files:

The Resolved Races routine did what I designed it to do:

Make API calls, pick up missing weather observations, sync them to Race Off time, and write them to the SDK ChartRaces Table for each race.

Looking at the data just now that was filled in by the Resolved Races routine for yesterday's 10-20-2025 Chart Files:

Everything looks just fine.

Also, one further reminder:

The 10-17-2025 CTX (Charles Town) Chart File that was held up for data integrity reasons (verification of a $165.80 show mutuel in R6) was uploaded to the HDW Download Server yesterday afternoon.

Don't forget you need to run a Resolved Races on that single race card BEFORE including it in a DBBuild.
