Anyone going?

jeff 3/9/2025 2:50:38 PM | I've received emails and texts from several who qualified asking me to remind HDW about getting contest files up on Wed (like Ron always did) this coming week.
I'm posting to let everybody know I made the request.
Link to a page at the NHC site showing this year's schedule of events and contest tracks: https://www.ntra.com/nhc2025/

SILVER01HDW 3/12/2025 2:52:23 PM | Is there any way online to get updates, or watch the NHC.
|
jeff 3/12/2025 5:11:00 PM | Looks like Ryan is getting the contest files up early.
re: Contest Updates
Generally the NHC posts periodic updates/standings on their site.
I'll post a link if they're someplace other than the linked to page above.

SILVER01HDW 3/13/2025 7:22:25 PM | I believe they also provide spreadsheets on players selections throughout the tournament......

SILVER01HDW 3/14/2025 7:57:06 PM | Did anyone tell HDW that Sundays Files could have been helpful too?

jeff 3/15/2025 10:03:29 PM | Just my opinion, Ryan has done a phenomenal job given the situation he stepped into.

SILVER01HDW 3/18/2025 2:35:30 PM | He'll get there but expect a few bumps along the way...
Just yesterday , it was the 2nd time a track was added after my 7:30 pm download (FG)
Just like to know what is his daily choirs and at what time he does it

SILVER01HDW 3/19/2025 11:36:16 AM | A few things I've noticed since Ron's death..
1) Not as confident with data files being up to "top" standards
2) HDW Website has been removed I'm sure Equibase was involved
3) Will JCapper have a price increase...? Won't be surprised Equibase wants more
Ron's death had a merry-go-round effect more than people noticed

I think your imagination is getting the better of you.
HDW's outward facing site http://www.HorseData.Com has been down for about three and a half weeks.
I'm the one who reported it to Jim Cramer and Ryan.
Instead of rendering the site's page content, the server was presenting visitors with a cascading series of error messages.
This is not the first time this exact same issue has happened.
The issue has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH EQUIBASE.
The most recent episode of this was last fall a week or so on either side of Thanksgiving.
I know this because Ron had called and asked me to test whether or not the JCapper File Server was down. (It wasn't.)
On that call Ron described the exact same series of error messages that I captured in a screenshot this time around which I sent to Jim and Ryan.
It took Ron about 48 hrs to figure out root cause and get the outward facing part of the HDW site back up and running again.
Ryan took a brief run at it this time around but couldn't get anywhere.
Apparently, Ron was the only one who had the site's admin logon credentials.
Without a valid admin logon not just Ryan but pretty much every web developer out there is locked out and can't make the needed changes. (I suspect the only way to fix this would be to wipe the server clean, reinstall a new operating system, and rebuild the outward facing HDW site from scratch.)
Rather than have the site display error messages to visitors the decision was made to power that one server off for the time being.
Now you know what I know.

SILVER01HDW 3/20/2025 7:45:38 AM | Yes, I'm sorry ...Ron kept this pretty much trouble free and I/we got spoiled...
And as scripted Wed Results are missing .. MVR got in after 3:30's last race and the rest went astray I heard there was weather issues that may caused it...
Since it looks like there's no post on a possibility of missing files You didn't get a call either...there goes the transparency
I'm going to keep a low profile for now ( your smiling) because its going to be no smooth sailing for a while
venting again :)

Right now as I type this it's a little after 6:00 am my time Pacific Thurs 03-20-2025.
I downloaded Wed Results about an hour ago.
