I've been converting the JavaScript that connects the board's web pages to the database so that Firefox will recognize the commands.
Mozilla/Firefox uses a different JavaScript engine than IE. It's just different enough that commands recognized by IE that I've become accustomed to using for over a decade aren't recognized in Mozilla/Firefox at all.
It's tricky tedious work. But Mozilla/Firefox has become widespread enough that it HAS to be done. If there's a silver lining it's that the HANA Site (yes I'm doing that) will be Mozilla/Firefox friendly from the get go.
I've actually had to make the web pages used by the board read the client browser and in certain cases present two different sets of pages... one for IE and a second set for Firefox.
Over the next few days you may see me post a test message or two just like this one. I'm trying to make sure pretty much everything works before I declare it "officially live."
But as of right now you should find that you are able to log in and post using Mozilla/Firefox - provided that you have JavaScript enabled.
