July 2018 HANA Horseplayer Monthly |
jeff 7/20/2018 10:57:30 AM | The July 2018 issue of Horseplayer Monthly is now available for viewing, and this issue is jam-packed with material and stats to help you out through the meets at Saratoga and Del Mar.
We have articles from Paul Matties Jr. and Mike Adams to help you out on the Saratoga turf courses, a Q & A with NYRA morning-line maker David Aragona, and Vin Rogers and Jon Stettin take you down memory lane at the Spa.
We haven't forgotten Del Mar either, as we have TimeformUS and Craig Milkowski taking a look at Del Mar turf trends, plus a stats pack for "Where the Turf Meets the Surf."
In addition, we have an analysis of trainers by Barry Meadow, the usual harness and quick hits pages, and much, much more!

Curious why HANA didn’t come out with a 2018 track ratings report.

Working on an updated algorithm.
When the ratings do come out, expect to see a new column in the ratings that gives each track a score based on commitment to thoroughbred after care. (This after reports of thoroughbreds showing up in kill pens as meets at Louisiana tracks were winding down. Despite a press conference earlier this year by the National HBPA decrying the practice - Imo, nothing appears to have changed.)
