The same thing has happened to me... No, not today - but I get that same message maybe once or twice a year.
Any time I see an End of central directory signature not found message while trying to unzip a downloaded file:
I take that to mean the file was somehow damaged during transmission.
Something like my cable internet flickering off for a split second and then back on as the file is being downloaded would do it.
The best way to handle this is to re-download the file.
If you've kept current with the Build 198 program updates, follow these steps:
1. Launch the HDW File Mgr
2. Click MENU - then select IE/WinInet - Clear Cache. (This prevents you from downloading the same bad/damaged version of the file again.)
3. Re-download the offending file and rerun the file build routine for the offending file.
That's it!
If you haven't kept current with the Build 198 program updates, or if you are running an older version of JCapper, follow these steps:
1. Delete the offending .zip file.
2. Use a web browser to visit the HDW site and re-download the file.
Hint: You may or may not need to clear your browser's cache, depending, in order to make your browser give you a new version of the file. IE can be really sticky about this - which is why I added the Clear Cache menu item to the HDW File Mgr.
3. After re-downloading the file, launch the HDW File Mgr and rerun the .JCP file build routine for the offending file.
