| dvlander 6/20/2008 12:43:33 PM | As we all know, the equibase charts are only available online for about a week. I find it to really be a pain to download them on a daily or weekly basis. I'm a limited database guy with Access and such but I'm wondering if it's possible to construct my own charts with data from XRD files. I'm assuming the pertinent data must be in there to do so. In my case, I don't necessarily need all the points of call, just a list of finishers and payouts. I can use raceresults.com to get the top 3 finishers for most tracks but I do backtesting on a pre-scratch basis since that is the way my schedule forces me to play in real-life. The top 3 finishers doesn't tell me if my horse scratched. I can also use the DAT files but I'm hoping to cut out all of that additional "calculating races" processing time. Amy helpful info or advice to accomplish this would be appreciated. Thx, Dale

| jeff 6/20/2008 2:05:11 PM | Dale, XRD results files have finish position and final time but not internal fractions and points of call. Something you might want to look into would be Bris $0.50 charts results files. I believe those contain enough info for someone to programmatically construct their own charts. -jp .
